Short version: Fliplo does not collect, store, or sell your personal data. Your artwork and projects stay on your device (and optionally in your personal iCloud account). We have no servers that receive your drawings.
1. Who We Are
Fliplo (“the App”) is developed and published by Late Night Birds (“we”, “us”, “our”). If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
We want to be explicit. Fliplo does not:
- Create user accounts or require sign-in
- Collect your name, email address, or any contact information
- Upload your artwork, drawings, or animation projects to any server we operate
- Track your location
- Share data with advertisers or third-party ad networks
- Use third-party analytics SDKs (no Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
3. Data Stored on Your Device
All your projects, frames, layers, and settings are stored locally using SwiftData (Apple’s on-device database framework). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export a file or enable iCloud sync.
4. iCloud Sync (Optional)
If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, your project data is stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple’s CloudKit framework. This data is controlled entirely by Apple and your Apple ID — Late Night Birds has no access to it. Apple’s privacy practices apply: apple.com/legal/privacy.
5. In-App Purchases
Fliplo offers a one-time “Fliplo Pro” purchase handled entirely by Apple’s StoreKit framework. We never see or store your payment details. Apple processes all transactions; refer to Apple’s privacy policy for purchase-related data handling.
We store only a boolean flag on your device indicating whether Pro has been unlocked, to avoid requiring an internet check every launch.
6. Photos Library Access
Fliplo requests access to your Photos library only when you:
- Tap “Save to Photos” to export a GIF, MP4, or PNG
- Import a reference image from your library
We request the minimum permission required for the action. Photos you import are processed entirely on-device; nothing is uploaded. We do not access, read, or index any other photos in your library.
7. Microphone Access
If you add an audio track to a project (Pro feature), the App may request microphone access to allow recording. Audio data is stored only on your device as part of your project. We do not transmit audio anywhere.
8. No Advertising
Fliplo contains no advertisements. We do not use any advertising SDK and do not share identifiers with any ad network.
9. Children’s Privacy
Fliplo does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. Because the App collects no personal data at all, it is safe for users of all ages.
10. Analytics (App Store Connect)
Apple may collect aggregated, anonymised usage statistics through the App Store (e.g., installs, crashes). This data is provided to us by Apple in anonymised form only, and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not ours.
11. Crash Reporting
The App does not include any third-party crash reporting SDK. If the App crashes, iOS may offer to send an anonymised crash log to Apple (controlled by your device’s “Share iPhone Analytics” setting). We receive crash logs only through Apple’s standard App Store Connect tools, in anonymised form.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
13. Your Rights
Because we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to provide, delete, or transfer on your behalf. All your project data is on your own device — you can delete it at any time by deleting the App.
